Philipp ter Haar studied law in Germany in Bayreuth and Freiburg, and holds a law degree with distinction from the University of Freiburg.

He also studied business and economics in Bayreuth / Germany, Leicester / UK and Rennes / France, and earned a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the DeMontfort University Leicester.

Mr. ter Haar worked as in-house top management consultant of Deutsche Post  World Net / DHL (the German postal & logistics service, one of the largest German companies  and the largest logistics company worldwide ), being responsible for strategy and organization projects.

Since 2004 until today, Mr. ter Haar works in a similar function as project manager at ERGO AG, a group of German insurance companies , also involved in highly confidential projects. 

In 2005, Mr. ter Haar co-founded TreSolutions GbR, where he is managing Partner. His own company focuses on management trainings  and coaching. 

He is co-author of a legal textbook.

Mr. ter Haar is a Dutch  citizen, and lives in Hamburg, Germany. He is married and has 2 children.
